Not bad, and the actors are excellent, that Menshikov, that Serebriakov.
Maximum dramatic tone of the film, including musical design, and without "lights".
The outcome is unexpected, discouraging and puts everything from head to foot, but the “hypostasy” accepted by the judge in the end spoils everything, detaching from reality.

The outcome is unexpected, discouraging and puts everything from head to foot, but the “hypostasy” accepted by the judge in the end spoils everything, detaching from reality. Anything is possible, of course (forgetting of guilt, lack of punishment), but the viewer sometimes needs justice, at least in the movies! Well, you shouldn't have sculpted an "avenger" out of him, it's a fantasy overkill. A person who has lost honor no longer evokes sympathy or respect.
